A revolutionary approach to endoscope cleaning & reprocessing
Labcaire have developed an Automated Endoscope Reprocessor (AER) that radically redraws the performance and usability limits for this type of instrument in half the normal processing time for conventional pass-through AER's.
The design for Autoscope Isis was driven by the strict requirements of HTM 2030, EN ISO 15883 (parts 1 & 4) and the forthcoming HTM 01. With a footprint of less than one square metre, ISIS will process either one or two endoscopes on an individual load carrier in less than 20 minutes. A sophisticated identification and security system ensures that individual scopes and operators are fully tracked and the washing process comprehensively validated. Although developed as a pass through system, Autoscope Isis is extremely versatile as each unit can be used initially as a single door, stand alone system which can be simply converted to a pass-through design at a later date. This will be especially useful in many new build projects, where the pass-through concept is being increasingly adopted.
ISIS is compatible with commercially available detergents and AER disinfectants that satisfy Labcaire approval procedures. This flexibility benefits users, freeing them from dependence on a particular mixture of washing chemicals and allowing them to purchase more cost-effectively.
Since the entire chamber, including connectors, is washed and disinfected, ISIS easily passes HTM2030 soil efficacy and microbiological tests. The flow through each endoscope channel is individually and constantly monitored and an integral leak test, as required by HTM2030, is performed at the beginning and end of each cycle. Upon completion of each process cycle, the entire chamber is purged with HEPA filtered air and a hard copy printout is produced.
ISIS incorporates an integrated recognition system that automatically registers individual users allowing them to operate the instrument. All washing and disinfecting protocols are programmed into the machine and can be selected by users automatically. Once the cleaning process commences, the chamber door remains locked until the cycle has completed. When ISIS is installed as a pass-through unit, it automatically records the clean and dirty side loader and un-loader respectively. Once unloaded in the clean room, the endoscopes can either be used immediately or placed within the Labcaire fully validated 72hr Endoscope Storage Cabinet.
